About Me

My name is Keating Drake, and I am currently and undergraduate student at the University of Maryland. Before living in College Park, I grew up in Baltimore with my parents and three younger sisters. I graduated Cum Laude from Roland Park Country School where I studied for ten years. I began my academic career at the University of Maryland without a specific major but have since declared Public Policy and Criminal Justice and will be graduating with a bachelor’s degree in both. Although I enjoy studying many fields including science, history, and literature, but have realized that I am most passionate about social justice and reforming the U.S. criminal justice system. My goal is to have a career that directly serves and blesses those whom society often overlooks. Additionally, I am minoring in Spanish, and I studied abroad in Sevilla, Spain to immerse myself in the language and culture. It was an incredible experience, and I am always happy to talk about it. I am a very proud Terp, and I love that the University of Maryland provides so many opportunities to explore my passions. Each of my diverse interests make up who I am, and I hope to use them to better understand the world around me.
